Anya Gazes is a womenswear designer born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. The ANYA GAZES brand explores how our body highlights the clothes we wear, not just how our clothing shapes the body. Strategically exposed skin turns the wearer’s body into intentional design details, letting the wearer become a key part of the garment’s design.

Anya is inspired by a philosophy of ‘emotional clothing,’ seeking to explore storytelling through how we experience the world depending on what we wear and the character that our clothes allow us to put on. She enjoys the reciprocal action that clothing allows, as it has the ability to not only impact the wearer, but lets the viewer be a part of the story as well.

ANYA GAZES is founded on the idea of clothing by women, for women. Holding space for female designers to dictate what feels best on their body, taking back ownership of the female form, and celebrating women’s contribution to the fashion industry.

After obtaining her BFA in Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Anya is located in New York, the home of the ANYA GAZES brand.
